Sharry Caesare (Director) with over 20 years of teaching and administrative experience Sharry holds a current Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. A former Validator for the National Association for the Education of Young Children (N.A.E.Y.C.) she is also an independent contractor for the Sonoma Office of Education in their Gateway to Quality Program helping to improve program quality in preschools throughout Sonoma County. Sharry also does independent contract work for the Community Child Care Council (4C’s) working as an assessor in their Value in Preschool Program. This program helps providers who are interested in improving center quality and eventually obtaining N.A.E.Y.C. accreditation.
Sharry is a graduate of San Jose State University. She and her husband are both parishioners of St. Eugene Cathedral Church as well as former preschool parents and former and current elementary school parents.
Susan von Tagen (Teacher) Susan is one of the founding teachers of this preschool. Susan has over 30 years of teaching experience both in preschool and elementary school settings. She holds a multiple subject teaching credential. Susan is a graduate of Chico State University. She is a parishioner of St. Eugene’s Cathedral as well as a former St. Eugene Elementary School parent.
Jenny Salnas (Teacher) Jenny comes to us with a multiple subject teaching credential and experience in both the preschool and elementary school setting. A graduate of the University of Arizona where she obtained her B.A. and Northern Arizona University, where she received her M.A. in Early Childhood Education. Jenny and her husband are parishioners at St. Eugene Cathedral Church and are parents of former preschool students and current elementary school students.
Caroline Elliott (Aide) is a parishioner and former preschool parent. She began volunteering at our preschool when her son was in the program and decided it was so fun that when he graduated to Kindergarten she stayed on with us!
Sandy Sage Elwood (Development Director) Parishioner and school parent Sandy also began her work at St. Eugene’s as an active Parent Volunteer. Sandy currently works as the Development Director for our Preschool.
Theresa Pham (Aide) A graduate of the University of Houston Theresa works in both our preschool as well as the elementary school Before and After school Program.
